MONROE TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT

POLICE OFFICERS
RESUMES ARE BEING ACCEPTED BEGINNING JANUARY 26, 2022 UNTIL JUNE 1, 2022. RESUMES MUST BE SUBMITTED IN PERSON MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8AM TO 4PM. AT 3 MUNICIPAL PLAZA, MONROE TWP, NJ 08831.
GENERAL DUTIES
Members of the Monroe Township Police Department shall at all times preserve the public peace, prevent crime, detect and arrest violators of the law, protect life and property and enforce all federal, state and local laws and ordinances within departmental jurisdiction.
2022 STARTING SALARY - $58882
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Citizen of the United States and a resident of New Jersey.
- At least 18 years of age and less than 35 years, or is within the requirements set by the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System of New Jersey.
- Shall be of good reputation and sound moral character.
- Shall be a high school graduate or a graduate of an equivalent institution of learning.
- Shall be in good physical condition.
- Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
- Must possess a full New Jersey Police Training Commission certification or be presently attending the Basic Course for Police Officers at a New Jersey Police Academy certified by the Police Training Commission.
