ABOUT
East Haven Fire Dept. proudly protects over 30,000 residents in the Town of East Haven located in south central Connecticut. Our boundary consists of 12.5 square miles bordered by the City of New Haven, the Towns of Branford, North Branford, North Haven and the Long Island Sound. There are 10 career firefighters and a Battalion Chief on duty at all times. They operate out of three stations manning 2 engines , 1 quint, 1 paramedic rescue, 1 ems squad, 1 incident command unit and 1 marine unit.
There are also 4 volunteer companies. They are Headquarters Co.1 , Foxon Co.3 , Bradford Manor Co.4 and Riverside Co 6 who operate out of 4 stations manning 2 engine companies, 2 rescue units, 1 squad company and 1 marine unit. Within our response district are Interstate 95, Tweed New Haven Airport, Amtrack/Metro North service both passenger and industrial, New Haven Terminal Tank Farm , several industrial parks, Long Island Sound and numerous elderly housing and assisted living complexes.
