Washington Township Police Department- Morris County, NJ Public Safety JobsWASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (MORRIS COUNTY)

SLEO CLASS III 

The Washington Township Police Department Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Class III Special Police Officer. The applicant must be a retired law enforcement officer less than 65 years of age who previously served as a duly qualified, fully training full time officer in any municipality or county of this state or as a member of the State Police and was separated from prior service in good standing within 3 years of appointment to this position. The Class III legislation also requires the Officer be a resident of the State of New Jersey.  This position is at West Morris Central High School.

Starting Salary shall be $40.00 per hour and he/she shall work a schedule of 30-32 hours weekly. The required hours will be 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM but may vary based on school needs. The Special Police Officer shall only work when school is in session. It is anticipated that hiring will prior to the start of the 2022-2023 school year. The Special Police Officer shall conduct School Safety and Security duties within West Morris Central High School.
