SLEO CLASS III (School Security Officer)

The Cliffside Park Police Department is accepting resumes for Class 3 special Police Officers (School Security Officer).

The requirements for employment opportunity

• Must be retired Law enforcement less than 65 years of age.
• Must have served as a duly qualified, fully trained, full time officer.
• Must provide a letter in good standing from the chief Law enforcement executive listing the date and type of retirement.
• Good standing means to exclude a retirement resulting from injury or incapacity.
• Must be physically capable of performing the functions of the position, determined by the PTC guidelines.
• Must possess a valid New Jersey PTC basic police officer certification or a State Police Academy certification.
• Must be SRO certified within first year of employment

Salary

• 10 months work only on school days Monday Thru Friday 7:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m.
• $40,000    
•  8 ½ days sick time
•  There is possible overtime for afterschool events and availability.
