ABOUT US
The Limerock Fire Department is a Fire District in the Town of Lincoln. The department responds to fire, medical, hazardous material, public service and water rescue calls from our two stations in the two response districts. We staff two Class A pumpers of which both are Rhode Island Health licensed ALS Engines. Our North Station is on Great Road (HQ), Station 3 and the South Station is located on Twin River Road, Station 8. We provide automatic aid to the Town of Lincoln Departments and Mutual Aid to many of the Greater Woonsocket Departments. The Limerock Fire Department is committed to delivering the highest quality of service to the Residents of the Town of Lincoln. Our department provides an all hazards approach to many critical infrastructures in the district including the Town Middle School, Senior Center, Davies Vocational, Community College of RI, many industrial complexes and the Twin River Casino. MISSION STATEMENT
The primary objective of the Limerock Fire Department is to provide for the protection of human life and property from fire in an all hazards approach including emergency medical services, fire prevention and community risk reduction.
APPLICANT:
Our department is seeking applications for the position of Full-Time Firefighter working on an Engine Companies and Fire Safety Details at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln Rhode Island. Please make sure you review the Qualifications before applying.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must possess/adhere to the following list of qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Hold a valid Driver’s License from the State of Rhode Island
- High School Diploma working on College credits
- Currently enrolled in a sanctioned RI Advanced EMT Cardiac Class or already have RI Advanced EMT Cardiac license.
- Has successfully completed a valid Rhode Island Statewide Written Exam and Physical Performance Assessment Certificate through the RIAFC prior to appointment.
- Ability to attend the Rhode Island Fire Municipal Academy
- Capable of passing a physical examination and drug screening.
- Candidate will be required to pass a Complete Background Check
- Must have no felony convictions
- Must Not Use tobacco products and required to sign documentation stating will not use tobacco products during the tenure of being a Full Time Firefighter.
