PITTSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
FULL TIME PATROL OFFICER
The Pittsfield Maine Police Department is currently accepting applications for full-time police officer vacancies. The Pittsfield Police Department offers a competitive salary and benefit package, which includes holiday, sick, vacation pay in addition to health insurance and Maine State Retirement benefits.
There is also a $15,000 signing bonus offered for State of Maine certified full-time (Blue Pin) Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA) graduates or laterals from other states. As of September 21, 2021, the pay will range from $25.03 to $29.63 per hour. Lateral pay up to step 6, 120 months, at $28.07 per hour. Overtime opportunities always available.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, show proof of completion of MCJA law enforcement pre-service training, and will have to pass the MCJA BLETP entrance standard physical fitness test. Certified full-time candidates will be required to pass a panel interview, medical and psychological exams and a background investigation. Non certified candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment panel interview, background investigation, medical and psychological exams, polygraph and physical agility test in compliance with the MCJA standards.
