LYME, NH POLICE DEPARTMENT
JOB OPPORTUNITY
FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER
The Lyme Police Department is seeking applications for an anticipated opening for a full-time police officer position.
Lyme, NH has a Department comprised of two full-time officers and several part-time officers who provide law enforcement services to the approximately 1700 residents and visitors. Lyme is situated just north of Hanover NH and borders Vermont.
This posting is for certified in state Officers or those Officers out of state holding equivalent certification.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- No major convictions on violations
- No misdemeanor or felony convictions
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be of good moral character
- Must meet minimal qualifications as set by NH Police Standards and Training
- Must be 21 years old
- Must be US Citizen
- Certified full/part-time by NH PSTC or out of state certification as a police officer
Hiring process may include the following:
- Written test
- Physical Fitness Test
- Oral Board
- Background investigation
- Psychological Exam
- Polygraph test
Some portions may be waived for NH Certified Officers and those holding equivalent certifications out of state.
The Town of Lyme is an EOE. Pay to commensurate with experience in a range of $25.50-$28.50. Lateral transfers may be approved at current rank/pay. Contact us for further information. Competitive benefit package.
