This entry-level position includes EMS Duties at the BLS/ALS level, as well as duties consistent with fire suppression. You will be a MEMBER of a highly skilled team that delivers EMS, Fire Suppression, Rescue Services and other emergency and routine services to the community; will work various EMS department shifts.
Qualifications:
The following QUALIFICATIONS are required, at the time of application:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Hold a current licensure as an AEMT-Cardiac in the State of Rhode Island or a higher licensure.
- Must have a current Certificate of Physical Performance Assessment (PPA) from the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chief’s.

Additional Qualifications:
- Firefighter I/II- Preferred
- Must be a U.S. Citizen at the time of appointment.
- Must present a current Rhode Island Advanced EMT / Cardiac or EMT-Paramedic license at the time of appointment.

- Application for completeness and documentation of Qualifications.
- Criminal and Driving record screening – if offered employment.
- Background investigation and reference check – if offered employment.
- Interview with Senior Management.
- Psychological evaluation – if offered employment.
- Pre-employment physical – if offered employment.
