IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR

Full-Time Police Officer

Applicants possessing a NJ Police Training Commission (PTC) Certification are preferred. 

No PTC Certification is required to apply.

Applicants with previous full-time experience may start at a higher salary. 

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Deterring crimes and assure community through high-visibility policing.
  • Patrolling assigned areas and monitor activities to protect people and property.
  • Investigating crimes and apprehending suspected law violators.

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language well and intelligently and have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Is of good moral character and sound body and good health.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and prior to their 35th birthday,
  • Is not convicted of any offense involving dishonesty or which would make the person unfit to perform the duties of the office.
  • Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a medical, psychological, and drug screening prior to appointment.
