Minimum Qualifications:
-Resident of New Jersey and Citizen of the United States
-Must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language
-High School Diploma or its equivalent
-18 years of age or older
-Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
-Waiverable Class II Special Officer Certificate or Class A Certificate
-Must be of good moral character, sound body, and good health
-No criminal record
-Able to pass medical examination, psychological evaluation, background examination and drug screening
Police Officers appointed will receive competitive salary starting at $57,297 up to $147,062 top patrol officer step. Officers receive 15 paid holidays, 84 hours vacation and 50 hours of personal time. Competitive health, prescription, dental and vision plans. Officers work a 12 hour “Pitman Schedule” and receive 80 hours of sick time per year.
