Employment Opportunities Include
- Work in RI’s 8th Largest Municipality, in a modern police facility.
- Specialty Units and Divisions include Detectives, BCI, School Resource Officers, K9 Unit, Regional SWAT Team, Crisis Negotiation Team, Bike Patrol, Marine Patrol, and Federal Task Force Opportunities.
- Starting Patrol Salary — $64,903 (includes holiday pay)
- Top step pay over- $79,504 after 3 years, prior LE experience counted (includes holiday pay)
- Single Medical Insurance Coverage after full retirement date. (Until age 65) $3,300 per year at age 65 for life for Medicare Supplement)
- Fully vested in pension after only 15 years of service, which can be collected upon full retirement date.
- Educational Opportunities paid for up to including Master’s Degree.
