Hiring Announcement

The Franklin Township Police Department is now accepting applications for certified full time or Class II candidates who are interested in a position as a Patrolman. The hiring process is now open and will consist of the following phases. Candidates must also meet the minimum requirements listed below:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18-35 years old and US Citizen
  • Must possess valid NJ Driver’s License
  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Must be a resident of New Jersey
  • Must be able to successfully pass a physical fitness test, drug screening, background investigation, medical examination, and psychological

 

Hiring Process:

  • Physical Fitness Test

o Max bench press
o Push-up (1 minute)
o Sit-up (1 minute)
o Vertical Jump
o 1.5 mile run
o 300 meter run

  • Oral Interview
  • Drug Screening
  • Background Investigation
  • Medical/Psychological Exams
