LOWER SWATARA TOWNSHIP POLICE
POSITION VACANCIES FOR POLICE OFFICER
This testing process will include a written test, physical agility test, oral board, polygraph examination, background investigation, physical examination, drug screen and psychological evaluation.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Each applicant for this position shall be at least 21 years of age at time of application and possess a diploma from an accredited high school or graduate equivalent. In addition, each applicant must be a United States citizen, be physically and psychologically able to perform the essential functions of a police officer, and, prior to appointment and during his or her employment with the Township, possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Act 120 certification is not required for this testing process. Cadet salary of $45,000 while attending academy.

Starting Salary for certified officers depending on experience will be between $60,000 and $96,630.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE LOWER SWATARA TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT BY May 9th, 2025 AT 4pm.
The written examination will be conducted at the Lower Swatara Township building at 1499 Spring Garden Drive every first and third Wednesday of the month or by appointment starting April 8th 2025.
