PLYMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT
Certified Police Officer
The Town of Plymouth a rural community in Litchfield County covering 22.4 square miles and home to approximately 12,000 residents with a police department comprised of twenty-four (24) officers is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. CT-POST Certified Police Officers meeting POST Lateral Entry Requirements preferred. Certified Police Officers must be in good standing with their current police department. Salary ranges from $79,618.80 to $95,990.30 in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement . All candidates must possess a valid CT driver's license and be a non-smoker. Must pass written, oral, psychological, polygraph, physical examination, drug screening, and background investigation. Minimum of two (2) weeks paid vacation and up to four (4) weeks paid vacation commensurate with current department’s vacation time; holiday, personal, sick, and bonus time, uniform/cleaning allowance, longevity pay, MERS Pension Plan, excellent benefits package, four (4) days on and two (2) days off work schedule.
