General Statement of Job 

The Accreditation Clerk is responsible for assisting in accreditation and compliance activities
within the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.


Qualifications 


• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Working knowledge of Accreditation and compliance.


Essential Job Functions 


• This list of functions, duties, responsibilities, skills, and physical abilities is not intended

• Regular and prompt job attendance.
• Assists in accreditation and compliance activities within the Walton County Sheriff’s
Office.
• Assists in updating and revising agency policies and forms and ensures compliance with
accreditation standards
• Maintains accreditation files.
• Prepares and submits required reports and documentation to accrediting bodies.
• Maintains a clean, organized, safe and presentable work area.
• Reviews and inspects records and reports submitted to Accreditation to ensure compliance
with standards.
• Conducts random, unannounced inspections of departmental personnel and facilities for
the purpose of assessing compliance with accreditation standards.
• Attends and participates in accreditation related meetings.
• Serves on accreditation related committees.
• Disseminates accreditation related information to agency members.
• Assists in the coordination and preparation of reports as required for accreditation.
• Assists in drafting correspondence and forms. Proof reads, edits and sends edited
accreditation documents to members.
• Collects and maintains required proofs.
• Researches, organizes, summarizes and assembles requested information and forwards
completed requests.
• Review all applicable files, reports, documents, correspondence for accreditation and
compliance.
• File all pertinent documentation and reports in the appropriate location.
• Accurately and thoroughly assist in completing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and
annual reports as requested.
• Correctly type, file and retrieve confidential documents, maintaining the security and
confidentiality of the document.
• Correctly design and generate various forms as requested.


Required Skills 


• Knowledge in business assessments, training methods, file-building techniques and
requirements for assessor reviews.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (365) including excel, calendar, email, and other Outlook
applications and ability to learn other database systems.
• Demonstrated ability in the collection and presentation of data.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge, interpretation and application of policies, procedures, general orders and
directives.
• Demonstrates self-initiated activity in order to contribute to the goals consistent with the
agency vision.
• Demonstrates congenial, respectful, and productive behaviors and attitudes towards others
in working relationships and situations.
• Adequate abilities in developing and revising organizational workflow.
• Planning and scheduling skills.
• Efficiently organizes, prioritizes, schedules and manages daily work activities, tasks, and
special assignments.


Standards to Perform Job Functions 


Physical Requirements:

Sit up to 7 hours per day, stand up to 1 hours per day, walk up to 1
hours per day, occasionally lift up to 10 lbs., bend, squat, climb, reach, kneel, and/or twist.
