Hiring Environmental Protection Dispatcher
Salary: $50,199 - $65,829/year Close Date: 11/1/2022 11:59:00PM
EnCon is seeking to hire an Environmental Protection Dispatcher. The Emergency Dispatch Center is a 24 hour, 7-day a week operation responsible for providing a communication link between operations within the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, other public safety agencies and the public. This is a permanent, full-time position for first shift, Friday through Monday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm and Tuesday, second shift, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with computer assisted dispatch (CAD), National Crime Information Center (NCIC), and CT On-Line Law Enforcement Communications Teleprocessing (COLLECT) systems;
- Experience interpreting and applying conservation enforcement state and federal laws, statutes, regulations, and procedural guidelines;
- Experience managing competing deadlines and adapting to changing priorities in a work environment;
- Experience extracting information from individuals during emergency response communications;
- Experience making independent decisions while evaluating emergency and non-emergency response situations.
