DISPATCHER
The Dumont Police Department is currently accepting resumes for Full Time Police Dispatcher.
Applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred that applicant has active/current NJ Basic Tele Communicator Certificate.
- Preferred applicant is CPR and EMD certified, but not required.
- Applicants must be able to read and write English (Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus).
- Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Applicant must be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicant must be able to multi-task telephones, radio and computer.
- Applicant must be willing to work rotating 12 hour shifts on weekends, holidays and nights.
- Dispatching experience is a plus.
