The Lebanon Police Department offers a challenging patrol area with a resident population of approximately 15,000. During the daytime, the population increases to approximately 40,000 due to the local economic and social activity of the area. We cover this area with 35 sworn officers, 11 communication specialists, and a total Police Department staff of approximately 58 people. We are very active and enjoy the support of the residents of the City of Lebanon.
The Lebanon area offers the best of northern New England and is located adjacent to the crossroads of I-89 and I-91, with I-89 running through the middle of the City.
Chief Phillip Roberts and the Lebanon Police Department believes in utilizing contemporary and progressive policing practices. This includes a problem-oriented approach to policing and a dedicated effort toward community engagement. We provide and utilize modern equipment, which is constantly being upgraded and improved, so that we can provide a first-rate service to our community.
Our Communication Specialists’ base pay for 2024 is $56,867 to $80,433, along with shift incentives. They are also members of the New Hampshire State Retirement System. Experienced candidates may be started at a higher rate based upon experience.
Experienced Candidates Can Earn a Bonus of $10,000 Upon Hire!
