The Plaistow Emergency Communications Center is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a full-time Public Safety Telecommunicator — the critical first link between the community and police, fire, and EMS services.

What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the first point of contact for emergency and non-emergency calls
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel efficiently and accurately
- Remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies
What We’re Looking For
You are
- An excellent communicator (verbal & written)
- Focused and detail-oriented
- Comfortable multitasking in high-stress situations
- Professional and dependable
- Available to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, overnights, weekends & holidays)
- Experience is preferred — but not required. We will train the right person with the right mindset and dedication
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree preferred)
- Ability to obtain NCIC/SPOTS/CJIS certification
- APCO and/or NENA certifications (preferred)
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- U.S. citizen
- No criminal record
