Public Safety Dispatcher (Telecommunicator): Collective Bargaining Position:
The Southington Police Department is seeking a full time Public Safety Dispatcher to work within the Southington Police Department Communications Division. Dispatchers are required to dispatch Police, Fire, and provide EMD Services. The complete job description can be obtained at the below-listed areas:

Minimum Application Qualifications:
- State of Connecticut Certified Telecommunicator
- State of Connecticut COLLECT Certification
- State of Connecticut E911 Certified
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a G.E.D.
- Be a citizen of the United States of America.
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
Certified Telecommunicator Application Process:

- Power Phone Emergency Medical Dispatching Certification
- All State of Connecticut Public Safety Computer Reference Systems.
- Nexgen Public Safety CAD/RMS dispatching software
