The Doylestown Township Police Department is creating an eligibility list and is accepting applications from interested and qualified candidates for the position of a police officer. General Information:

The Doylestown Township Police Department consists of twenty (21) full-time officers, headed by Chief of Police Dean Logan with one (1) Lieutenant, four (4) Patrol Sergeants, one (1) Detective Corporal, two (2) Detectives, twelve (12) Patrol Officers, and three (3) civilian employees. The agency provides 24/7 service to the residents, businesses, and visitors of Doylestown Township.  The Department is responsible for a jurisdiction covering 17 square miles with a population more than 17,000 residents. Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Must be ACT 120 certified or are currently enrolled in the ACT 120 program.
  • Must be able to acquire MPOETC certification.
