Job Announcement:
The East Brookfield Police is a non-civil service department seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of full-time police officer. Candidate Minimum Qualifications: U.S. citizen, high school diploma, at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and a valid Massachusetts License to Carry or the ability to possess one. Applicants must also have graduated from the M.P.T.C. Full-Time Academy or Bridge Academy with ability to be P.O.S.T. certified.
Candidates will be expected to pass a background check, including CORI, psychological & physical exam and have an acceptable driving record.
Competitive salary along with step increases, shift differential (3-11 $1.5 per hour /11-7 $2.00 per hour) and $64 per hour for details. The East Brookfield Police Department also offers the following: Full educational incentive: Associate’s Degree 10%, Bachelor’s Degree 20% and Master’s Degree 25% (which is included in overtime), health and dental insurance is 75% (town) 25% (officer) Blue Cross PPO and Blue Cross Dental Blue, up to 6 weeks vacation, personal days, 15 earned sick days per year, monthly phone stipend, uniform allowance and longevity stipend.
