POLICE OFFICER

The East Windsor Police Department is looking for energetic, problem solvers to add to our ranks. This professional, community-oriented Department offers a highly competitive salary (starting pay ranges from $66,540-84,730), fantastic benefits, a hybrid (part defined benefit, part defined contribution) retirement plan and many incentives for current and continuing education. New Officers will have the opportunity to work in an array of exciting assignments both within the Police Department and alongside others in one of the many regional units we participate in, including: Regional Tactical Unit (SWAT), Narcotics, K9, Unmanned Aerial Unit (Drone), Accident Reconstruction Team, School Resource Officer, General & Juvenile Investigations and Field Training Officer.

POSTC certified officers and non-certified candidates interested in a career with our agency are encouraged to apply. Applicants in any previous selections process who did not move forward to the background investigation may reapply.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or its equivalent; possess a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one by the time of appointment; have a good driving history; be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment; have no criminal record. Applicants must pass a battery of tests including written, physical agility, oral, polygraph, psychological and physical examinations as well as an extensive background investigation. Officers are not permitted to have visible body art on the face, neck or hands, Body art below the elbow must be covered.
