Requirements:

• Must be 20 years of age at the time of application
• Hold U.S. citizenship (by birth or naturalization)
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Great physical and mental health
• Must not have been convicted of any felony or misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement or have received a dishonorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States

Job Description/General Duties:

As a Lewiston Police Officer, you will patrol assigned neighborhoods to enhance community safety, respond to emergencies, and provide critical assistance to those in need. You will enforce local and state laws with professionalism and integrity, conduct thorough investigations, and prepare clear and accurate reports. Additionally, you will engage with residents through proactive initiatives and positive outreach, serving as a trusted guardian and representative of the City of Lewiston.

• Entry salary w/ no prior service: $31.55/hour ($65,624 annually)
• Entry pay based on prior service see below: 
  • Year 1+ - $32.48
  • Year 2+ - $33.47
  • Year 3+ - $34.47
  • Year 5+ - $36.19
  • Year 7+ - $38.00
  • Year 9+ - $39.89
  • Year 10+  - $41.90
  • Year 12+ - $43.99
• Top pay scale: $46.20/hour ($96,096 annually)
