POLICE OFFICER AND SLEO II RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
The Pine Hill Police Department is initiating the recruitment process for the positions of entry level Police Officer and SLEOII. The Department is currently seeking to establish an eligibility list for current and future vacancies within our agency with energetic, dedicated and hardworking individuals.
The Pine Hill Police Department is a progressive police agency, with members who are dedicated to fulfilling the community’s expectations of professional and community-oriented police services. Currently the Pine Hill Police Department has twenty-two sworn full-time officers with specialized units including Detectives, Police K-9, Special Response Team, Critical Incident Negotiations, LEAD and Task Force Officers. The Pine Hill Police Department provides comprehensive and progressive police training covering all aspects of modern policing. The Pine Hill Police Department will be accepting Module I Applications (on PoliceApp.com) and resumes from interested candidates beginning today, November 19th, 2024.
Interested candidates are required to provide upon submission of the Module I Application and resume; a copy of their BCPO or SLEOII PTC certificate (if acquired), and a copy of their valid photo identification.

Candidates must be able pass the following: physical ability test, oral interview, medical examination, psychological examination, drug screening, and thorough background investigation.
Candidates must also fulfill all requirements of Chapter 2 Section 9.6 of Pine Hill Borough Code, requiring the applicant is:
- a citizen of the United States,
- a resident of the State of New Jersey,
- sound in body and of good health to satisfy the board of trustees of the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System of New Jersey as to his/her eligibility for membership in the retirement system,
- at least 21 years of age for Police Officer or at least 18 years of age for SLEOII,
- able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently,
- of good moral character, and
- has not been convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude
