PLYMOUTH NH POLICE DEPARTMENT

NOW HIRING 

ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICERS

The Plymouth NH Police Department is seeking applicants for full time police officers to fill one vacancy.

The starting hourly rate for NH Full-Time Certified Police Officers is $26.00 to be negotiable with experience and the starting hourly rate for officers who have not yet completed the NH Full-Time Police Academy is $25.00.  Employees receive a benefits package to include 11 paid holidays, accrued vacation leave, sick leave, bonus time, personal leave and enrollment in the NH Retirement System. Employees are offered a health insurance plan with 85% of the monthly premium covered by the Town. Employees who are covered by another health insurance plan receive an additional $300.00 a month.

Candidates must pass a physical agility test, oral board, psychological exam, polygraph exam, and a medical physical, as well as an extensive background investigation. NH Full-Time Certified Police Officers may have portions of this process waived based on past hiring standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be a US citizen, 21 years of age prior to receiving a conditional offer of employment, and must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Military service and/or a college degree is desirable, but not required.

ABOUT THE PLYMOUTH, NH POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Police Department is currently comprised of 12 full-time officers. Officers work rotating shifts and provide 24 hour coverage to approximately 7,000 full-time residents with an increase of approximately 5,000 college students during the school year.
