ROSS TOWNSHIP, OH POLICE DEPARTMENT

Part-Time Police Officer

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Graduate of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy or currently enrolled in the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess and retain a valid operator's license and be insurable through Ross Township's insurance carrier

Salary: 

  • $16.50/hr -$20/hr. The range varies on your level of experience

About the Department:

  • Population-9,000
    Size-36 square miles
    approximately 4800 calls for service each year
    the Township is on the verge of several developments which will cause our department to double if not triple in size with full-time officers.
    We have a School Resource Officer, a member on the Butler County SWAT team and one on the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team

Testing Requirements:

We utilize the Cooper Standards for a physical fitness assessment.

Hiring Process:

Oral interviews, background investigation, psychological test, CVSA and a physical
