SAYREVILLE AUXILIARY POLICE-VOLUNTEER
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Applications are currently being accepted for the position of (volunteer) Auxiliary Police Officer with the Sayreville Police Department. The closing date for applications will be December 1, 2024 at 11:59 PM.
Please read the qualifications before applying. The 2025 police academy is scheduled to begin in March 2025.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a resident of Sayreville or live within 5 miles of the Sayreville border (* provided your town does not have an auxiliary).
- Be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Be a United States citizen
- Be of good moral character and has not been convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude.
- Is able to read, write and speak English well and intelligently
- Have a valid New Jersey drivers license
- Ability to pass a medical exam for physical fitness
