The Town of Townsend Massachusetts is now accepting applications for Full-Time Police Officer.  Full-time certified applicants are preferred. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
    Must Be 21 years of age or older

 

Testing Requirements

Ability to pass a written, physical agility, and assessment test in addition to an extensive background check.
 

Salary

  • Salary range for FY25 is $58,065 to $75,996 (commensurate with experience) with a very competitive benefit package.  Education incentive pay of 5% of base pay for associates, 10% for bachelor degree, 12.5% for masters/terminal degree. 


Benefits

Townsend offers paid training, 12 paid holidays, accrued vacation and sick leave, bereavement leave, and a yearly clothing allowance.  Salary and Vacation commensurate with experience.
Officers work a 4 and 2 work schedule and there is a shift differential for second and third shifts.
