HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT

POLICE OFFICER

The West Amwell Police Department is NOW ACCEPTING applications for the position of POLICE OFFICER. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizen of the United States and resident of the State of New Jersey;
  • Of good mental and bodily health;
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently;
  • Of good moral character and free from conviction of any crime constituting an indictable offense or any crime or offense involving moral turpitude;
  • Able to pass such written, oral, physical and psychological examinations;
  • A graduate of a high school, vocational high school or possess an approved equivalent certificate;
  • Valid NJ Driver’s License;
  • Be between 21 and 35 years old;
  • Currently NJPTC Certified: BCPO, Alternate Route Graduates or currently enrolled in a BCPO course, SLEO II or BCI Waiver Eligible Certifications (N.J.A.C. 13:1-8.4).
