LINCOLN FIRE DEPARTMENT

Part-Time Firefighter

Our department is seeking applications for the position of Part – Time Firefighter working on a Engine Company, Ladder Company and a Heavy Rescue Company. Firefighters also have the ability to work details within our district.

The Lincoln Fire Department protects three major highways, town high school complex, a mall and protects Amica’s Corporate Offices as well as many apartment and office buildings, a five story 194-unit condo building and a large mill complex and many single family and multi family homes. The district is is approximately 8 square miles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must possess/adhere to the following list of qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Hold a valid Driver’s License from the State of Rhode Island.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current license as an Emergency Medical Technician for the State of Rhode Island or currently enrolled in a class. Must pass class and obtain a state license.
  • Current CPR card.
  • Current Physical Performance Assessment Certification through the RIFAC.
  • Certification as a Firefighter I and Firefighter II or currently enrolled in Firefighter II class.
  • Must pass an internal evaluation on basic firefighter practical evolutions.
  • Must pass a police background check. 
  • Members need to work day, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays when needed.
