ABOUT

The Radnor Township Police Department is tasked with protecting and preserving the lives and property of the third largest municipality in Delaware County. Police Superintendent Christopher B. Flanagan oversees daily operations which include the Patrol Unit, Highway Patrol & Traffic Safety Unit, Detective Unit, K9 Unit, Integrity Control Office, and the Narcotics Unit. In a typical year, our police vehicles log about 326,000 miles in routine patrols of Township streets and neighborhoods - about 900 miles of patrolling every day of the year across our 13.9 miles. In 2021, the Radnor Township Police Department responded to over 19,000 calls for service.

The cornerstone of the Radnor Police Department is community based and oriented policing. We believe in collaboration with our community groups, local businesses and schools is the best way to prevent crime by maintaining open lines of communication.

In addition to the 51 Sworn Officers, the Department employs several non-sworn personnel in the following areas:

•1 Supervisor of Parking and Auxiliary Services
•4 Part Time Meter Inspectors
•2 Administrative Assistants assigned to the Police Records Room
•9 Crossing Guards
•1 Licensed Clinical Social Worker
