HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT - SLEO II

The Garwood Police Department is accepting resumes for the position of Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II.
Minimum Qualifications:
- PTC SLEO II Certification or Retired LEO within the last 3 years
- Recently Retired LEO or soon to be retired LEO will get preference.
- Must be less than 65 years of age for appointment
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
- Must have vision and hearing adequate to perform essential job functions
- Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check
Applicants are expected and have the ability to:
- Work in Emergency Telecommunications
- Work holidays
- Willing to work overtime
- Work and multi-task in a fast paced, stressful environment
- Read, write and comprehend the English language
- Competitive Salary range with the opportunity to work Extra Duty Employment at a rate of at least $75/hr.
