ROXBURY TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT
SLEO CLASS II
The Roxbury Township Police Department is accepting applications for the position of SLEO Class II. Applicants should meet the eligibility requirements below and be willing to work thirty (30) hours per week during the school year and twenty (20) hours per week during the summer. The SLEO Class II shall act as the SRO/LEAD Instructor, conduct school safety and security duties and be responsible for all programs conducted in the Roxbury Township School District. This position is being offered a one (1) year contract which may or may not be renewed annually.
Pay is $38 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The applicant must be a retired law enforcement officer, less than sixty-five (65) years of age
- Must be separated from that prior service in good standing
- Applicant must be physically capable of performing the functions of the position, determined in accordance with the Police Training Commission.
- Applicant must possess a New Jersey Police Training Commission Basic Police Officer Certification or New Jersey State Police Academy Certification and an active PTC Certification.
- Applicant must possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
- Applicant must pass a background investigation.
- Applicant must pass a psychological and medical evaluation.
Additional Training/Certifications:
- SRO/LEAD experience is preferred, but not required.
