PITTSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Pittsfield Maine Police Department is made up of the Chief, the Sergeant, 6 full-time officers, one School Resource Officer and 8 Reserve Officers. Our Animal Control Officer takes care of our domestic animal calls and the Maine Warden service takes care of our wild animal calls. We are members of the Somerset Valley Opiod Response Network and the Somerset County Domestic Violence Task Force.

We, the Pittsfield Maine Police Department, are an organization of dedicated professionals whose primary mission is to safeguard the lives and property of those we serve. By forming partnerships with the Community, we enhance the quality of life and achieve a safe and secure environment for all.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE

The Pittsfield Maine Police Department serves a town of 4200 residents. The town itself is rural in nature and also has a growing industrial base. There is a hospital in town as well as three middle and grammar schools as well as Maine Central Institute.
