Shippensburg Police Department

Shippensburg Police Department consists of Chief of Police, 2 Corporals, Detective and 7 Patrol Officers. SPD offers various career opportunities such as bicycle patrol, special response team, detective, canine unit and community policing.

Shippensburg Police Department serves Shippensburg Borough in both Cumberland and Franklin County. Shippensburg is the oldest community of the Cumberland Valley, and the second oldest west of the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania. The population of Shippensburg Borough is approximately 5,638 and significantly increases with visitors and students attending Shippensburg University. Shippensburg Borough is 2.038 square miles.
