CAPE MAY POLICE DEPARTMENT
 IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR:

NJ PTC / CIVIL SERVICE COMMISION CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER

(Requirement: Must be Lateral transfer from a NJ Civil Service Department, not outside State of NJ)

(We are also unable to accept NJ DOC Applicants / Correctional Police Officers)

Cape May Police Department seeking lateral transfer applicants for full time Police Officer position. 

The Cape May Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer under the New Jersey Civil Service Commission’s – Inter-Governmental Transfer Program.

To be in compliance with the Inter-Governmental Transfer program, applicants must currently be employed as a sworn officer in a New Jersey Civil Service law enforcement agency for at least two (2) years (post academy graduation date) and their agency must be willing to approve the transfer.

Applicants must have graduated from a New Jersey PTC certified law enforcement academy and be in possession of a New Jersey Police Training Commission certificate. Applicants will be subject to a thorough background investigation. Candidates must also submit to and pass both a medical and psychological evaluation.
