Academy Pay Rate $33, 122.00
Patrolman 13th Class $48, 168.00 to Patrolman 1st Class $111,573.00
Department salary refinement expected after contract closing December 24th, 2024

Our officers are leaders in the state, setting benchmarks in training, expertise, and professionalism. Our officers serve as active instructors at the John H. Stamler Police Academy and various other educational institutions across the United States. Patrol Division
Comprising frontline officers, the Patrol Division ensures round-the-clock coverage for emergency response, crime prevention, and traffic enforcement.
Minimum qualifications
- Citizen of the united states and resident of the state of new jersey
- Of good mental and bodily health
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language well and intelligently
- Of good moral character and free from conviction of any crime constituting an indictable offense or any crime or offense involving moral turpitude
- Able to pass such written, oral, physical, and psychological examinations
- A graduate of a high school, or vocational school or possess an approved equivalent certificate
- Valid NJ Driver's License
- Be between 21 and 35 years of age
- Currently NJPTC Certified: BCPO, Alternate Route Graduates or currently enrolled in a BCPO course, SLEO II or BCI Waiver Eligible Certifications (N.J.A.C. 13:1-8.4).
