Police Officer 

The Cromwell Police Department is currently accepting on line applications for the position of Entry Level Police Officer.  Applicants must possess a valid drivers’ license and be able to pass examinations that include written, oral, physical agility, polygraph, psychological, medical and an intensive background investigation. 

A list of minimum qualifications for the Town of Cromwell Police Officer is included with this announcement. 

The Cromwell Police Department is participating in the CPCA written test program. Only individuals who take and pass the CPCA Police Officer written test will be permitted to apply to the Cromwell Police Department. For more information regarding this program and to register to take the CPCA test see the information listed under the Job Prerequisites Section above. 

Salary Range is $70,989.91 - $93,991.84 and covered by the Municipal Employees Retirement Fund B retirement.

The Cromwell Police Department administers their own physical agility exam.  The physical agility exam will take place approximately one week after a successful pass of the oral board.
