HIGH BRIDGE BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT

POLICE OFFICER — ENTRY LEVEL, CERTIFIED & NON-CERTIFIED
The High Bridge Borough Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Citizen of the United States and resident of the State of New Jersey
- Be at least a high school graduate or have earned a General Educational Development (GED) diploma
- Is the holder of a driver’s license that is valid in New Jersey
- Received an honorable discharge from military service, if applicant served
- Able to otherwise meet all requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122 to 40A:14-127.1
- Must become licensed as a law enforcement officer in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:17B-71a et seq., and N.J.A.C. 13:1 et seq.
HIRING PROCESS
- Initial application
- Department interview
- Pre-academy physical fitness assessment (as required by N.J.A.C. 12:1-10.7)
- Background investigation in accordance with N.J.A.C. 13:1-10.3
- Police committee interview
- Conditional offer of employment
- Medical screening (N.J.A.C. 13:1-10.4)
- Drug screening (N.J.A.C. 13:1-10.5)
- Psychological screening (N.J.A.C. 13:1-8.1(e) or 10.6)
