Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office
Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office operates out of the county courthouse building in Bath, Maine. Currently employing 16 Deputies, our Patrol Division is often the first responders to any accident, complaint or crime scene. They patrol the county roads, enforce traffic laws, investigate crime, conduct property checks, and participate in community events. Serving on special details for BIW, backing up local law-enforcement, performing SAR operations, teaching RAD classes, providing Shellfish Warden services to municipalities and maintaining high-level firearms training are some of the typical duties our Patrol Deputies take-on.
The Criminal Investigation Division is staffed with three detectives charged with investigating robberies, burglaries, thefts, assaults, sexual assaults as well as other serious crimes. In addition they investigate drug crimes, manage physical evidence and participate in drug take-back programs. Crash reconstruction expert, criminal sketch artist, and drone pilot are just a few of the specialties our Detectives maintain.
