INTER GOVERNMENTAL TRANSFER POSITIONS

The Borough of Carteret, which is a Civil Service police department, is now accepting applications for Inter-Governmental Transfers.

Requirements:

  • Must be a fully certified police officer with a valid PTC certification
  • Must be currently employed as a full time police officer from a Civil Service jurisdiction
  • Present employer must ultimately approve of transfer.
  • Must be in sound physical condition and capable of performing the physical functions of the duties assigned.
  • Be of good moral character and positive work history
  • Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, psychological testing, drug screening through urinalysis and an oral review
