CITY OF GROTON
POLICE OFFICER
Salary $69,879.42 yearly
Effective 7/1/2024
The City of Groton is accepting applications for full time Police Officers for the Police Department. Candidate must be 21 years of age or older on date of appointment, have no criminal record, and be a high school graduate or equivalent. Candidate must possess and maintain as a condition of employment a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and an excellent driving record.
Interested persons must have completed the written examination process with the CPCA (Connecticut Chiefs of Police Association) within the past year to be considered. Candidates must be registered with https://www.policeapp.com.
Applications are only accepted through www.policeapp.com website. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. The original application must be submitted to the PoliceApp.com prior to the closing date of Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:59 PM.
Applicants must have a valid CHIP card or be prepared to participate in a Cooper standard agility assessment which requires completion of a medical clearance form that can be downloaded from this page.
